Below are details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days (half-yearly programmes are available only to members).
Non-members are welcome to try out a walk or perhaps two before joining. BUT make sure your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk, please see the Come Prepared page
Walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to circumstances prevailing on the day
The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the Moderate Walks description in style.
Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.

With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.

AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Cavendish Street, Chesterfield (10.16), then, (B12) 55 bus (10.55) to Tibshelf (11.33). Linear walk to Grasmore via 5 Pits Trail – 5 miles.
PLUS - Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (9.40) to Pineapple Farm (10.28). Car drivers can join the walk at Hassop Station at approx. 10.45. Round walk via Great Longstone, Longstone Edge and Rowland – 9 miles.

EVENING RAMBLE - Meet inside entrance of Sheffield Station (17.00). Round walk via Cholera Grounds, Norfolk Heritage Park, Manor Fields & Lodge and Sky Edge – 5 miles.
Thursday 24th September 2026
Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Millers Dale (10.49). Linear walk to Bakewell via Cressbrook, Monsal Head and Great Longstone - 8½ miles.
Saturday 26th September 2026
AMBLE – Meet Sheffield Station in foyer behind platform 7/8 (9.30). Linear walk to Dore & Totley Station via Clay Wood, Norfolk Park, Gleadless Valley, Graves Park (lunch and facilities), Chancet Park Bank and Ladies Spring Wood – 6/7 miles. (Several break off points.)
PLUS – Sheffield Station Manchester train (9.14) to Edale (9.47). Round walk via Jacob’s Ladder, Noe Stool and Ringing Roger – 9 miles.

PLUS - Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (8.30) to Castleton (9.26). Round walk via Cave Dale, Oxlow House, Rushup Edge, Chapelgate, Edale, Ollerbrook Farm and Backtor Nook – 11½ miles.

Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (9.40) to Baslow (10.19). Round walk via Chatsworth Park, Gardom’s Edge, and Wellington Monument - 8½ miles.
Saturday 10th October 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Angel Street (CG3) 86 bus (10.05) to Foxhill Estate Medical Centre (10.25). Linear walk to Deepcar via Birley Edge, Prior Royd Wood, Wharncliffe Chase and Wharncliffe Heath Nature Reserve – 6 miles.
PLUS – Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG123) 97 bus (9.13) to Cross Scythes PH, Totley (9.41). Round walk via Dore village, Blacka Moor Nature Reserve, Moorwood Lane, Lidgate, Holmesfield, Homesfield Park Wood, Woodthorpe Hall and Gillfield Wood – 9 miles.
Thursday 15th October 2026
Sheffield Interchange X5 bus (10.00) to Ryton Rd, South Anston (10.42). Cars can park near the church. Round walk via Anston, Thorpe Salvin, Netherthorpe Airfield, Carlton in Lindrick Golf Course and Anston Stone Woods - 9 miles.
Saturday 17th October 2026
Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Little Edge, Eyam (10.24). Linear walk to Baslow via New Road, Knochley Farm, Hare Knoll, Peak Pasture, Bank Wood and Bubnell - 7½ miles.
PLUS – Car Ramble. Meet at Fairholmes Visitor Centre (9.15) (Grid Ref. SK 172 893). Early arrival recommended to obtain parking. Charges apply. Round walk via Crook Hill, Rowlee Pasture, Alport Castles, Alport Bridge, Rowlee Bridge and Lockerbrook - 12 miles.
