Below are details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days (half-yearly programmes are available only to members).

Non-members are welcome to try out a walk or perhaps two before joining. BUT make sure your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk, please see the Come Prepared page

Walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to circumstances prevailing on the day

The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the Moderate Walks description in style.

Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.

NON-MEMBERS PLEASE CONTACT CLUB BY EMAIL FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A WALK AND WHEN ATTENDING BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE FULL NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS.

With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.


Thursday 18th June 2026

Sheffield Cathedral Yellow route tram - note slightly later tram times - (9.47) to Hillsborough (10.02), then, Hillsborough Interchange 62 bus (10.15) to High Bradfield (10.47). Leader will meet group at Hillsborough Interchange to catch 62 bus. Linear walk to Malin Bridge via Agden Reservoir, Dam Flask, Stacey Bank (break off point) and Loxley Valley - 8½ miles.

Saturday 20th June 2026

NEW! AMBLE - Sheffield Interchange (C6) X5 bus (9.35) to Kiveton Bridge railway station (10.15 approx). Linear walk to Killamarsh via Kiveton Community Woodland, Harthill village (break off point) and reservoirs, Pebley Pond, M1 bridge, Spinkhill College and Westthorpe (break off point) - 6 miles

PLUS - Sheffield Interchange 218 bus (8.40) to Bakewell (9.40). Round walk via Bowling Green Farm, Rowsley, Stanton in Peak, Alport, Youlgreave and Over Haddon – 10 miles.

Thursday 25th June 2026

Sheffield Interchange (C6) X5 bus (9.30) to Dinnington Interchange (10.21). Leader may join bus at Handsworth. Linear walk to Maltby via Dinnington Community Woodland, Thurcroft Mineral Trail, Laughton en le Morthen (break off point), Slade Hooton, Brookhouse, Thurcroft Hall, Carr and Hooton Levitt – 8-10 miles.

Saturday 27th June 2026

AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Matlock Park stop (11.03). Linear walk to Cromford via slow, steady incline to Snitterton and Bonsall – 6 miles.

PLUS – Meet at Notcutts Garden Centre CP (9.30) The Dukeries, Worksop S80 3LT. Signposted off the main road. Round walk via Creswell Crags, South Lodge, Sloswick Springs and Belph – 10 miles.

Sunday 28th June 2026

EVENING RAMBLE – Car ramble. Meet at Eyam Coach Park/Toilets (16.10) then, Little Edge 65 bus (16.29) to Great Hucklow (16.37). Linear walk to Eyam via Silly Dale, Brosterfield Farm and Furness Quarry– 5 miles.

Thursday 2nd July 2026

Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Kelstedge (10.43). Leader will join bus at Whittington. Linear walk to North Wingfield - 7½ miles. (Return buses to Chesterfield every 20 minutes.)

Saturday 4th July 2026

AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.45) to stop opposite Whirlow Brook Park entrance (10.08). Round walk via Ecclesall Woods and Discovery Centre – 5 miles.

PLUS - Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Fox House (10.05). Round walk via Houndkirk Moor, Ox Stones, Stanage and Burbage – 11 miles.

Thursday 9th July 2026

Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Tideswell (10.38). Linear walk to Castleton via Wheston and Peak Forest - 8 miles.

Saturday 11th July 2026

AMBLE – Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG4) 75 bus (9.49) to Bellhouse Road (10.10). Linear walk to Rotherham via Meadowhall (break off point) and Sheffield Canal – 6 miles.

PLUS - Car ramble. Meet Hartington Village Square (10.00). Round walk via Alstonefield, Hall Dale, Milldale, Wolfscote Dale and Beresford Dale – 11 miles.
