Below are details of club walks taking place within the next 28 days (half-yearly programmes are available only to members).
Non-members are welcome to try out a walk or perhaps two before joining. BUT make sure your come with suitable footware, clothing and sufficient food and water for a day walk, please see the Come Prepared page
Walkers are advised to check up-to-date public transport times, and, should keep in mind that leaders are at liberty to alter walk routes when necessary due to circumstances prevailing on the day
The words AMBLE or PLUS precede some walks, indicating that they correspond with the so-named walk type descriptors given on the Our Walks page, the remainder adhere to the Moderate Walks description in style.
Please note: our walks are peer-led, not guided, and are for people with some walking experience.
NON-MEMBERS PLEASE CONTACT CLUB BY EMAIL FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A WALK AND WHEN ATTENDING BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE FULL NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS.
With travel timetables changing frequently and buses being cancelled at short notice PLEASE check travel times yourself shortly before the walk.
Thursday 7th May 2026
Sheffield Cathedral Yellow tram - note slightly later tram times - (9.47) to Hillsborough (10.02) then 62 bus (10.15) to Main Road/Yews Fold stop in Dungworth (near former Royal Hotel) (10.39). Linear walk to Low Bradfield via Ringwood Lane, Heather Bank, Wet Shaw Dike, Shepherd’s Height, Tor Farm, Dale Dike Reservoir and Annet Bridge - 7½ miles.
Saturday 9th May 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Angel Street (CG3) 86 bus (9.35) to Angel Inn, Grenoside (10.05). Leader will meet bus. Linear walk to Deepcar via Wheata Wood, Greno Knoll, Wharncliffe Chase and Crags – 5.3 miles.
PLUS - Sheffield Station Mexborough train (10.05) to Mexborough Station S64 9AQ, (10.34). (what3words rosette.rebounder.fussy). Round walk via Old Denaby, Conisbrough and Hooton Roberts – 10 miles. (50% off train fare with S. Yorks bus pass.)
Thursday 14th May 2026
Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.45) to Hathersage (10.25). Linear walk to Bamford via Hazel Ford, Eyam Moor, Stoke Ford, and Offerton Moss - 8 miles.
Saturday 16th May 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Interchange (D4) X17 bus (9.36) to Cavendish Street, Chesterfield (10.16). Leader will meet bus, then, 51 bus to Wingerworth for amble around The Avenue Washlands and Wingerworth Ponds – 5/6 miles. (Easy Peasy) (Return 55 bus to Chesterfield at 14.40).
PLUS – Sheffield Station Manchester train (9.14) to Hope (9.39). Round walk via Twitchill Farm, Win Hill, Ladybower Reservoir, Hope Cross, Spring House Farm and Castleton – 12½ miles.

Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.45) to Bradwell (10.37). Round walk via Abney Moor and Great Hucklow - 8 miles.
Saturday 23rd May 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Arundel Gate (AG123) 76 bus (9.49) to Hemper Lane, Bradway (10.23). Linear walk to Graves Park via Beauchief Hall, Lady Spring Wood, Beauchief Abbey, Park Bank, Chancet Wood and Rose Café - 4½ miles. (Lots of interesting info. from Anne.)
PLUS – Sheffield Interchange 65 bus (9.35) to Little Edge, Eyam (10.24). Round walk via Furness Quarry, Brosterfield Farm, Wardlow Hay Cop, Blakedon Hollow and Black Harry Lane – 11 miles.

Sheffield Interchange 272 bus (9.45) to Hathersage (10.25). Round walk via Birley Farm, Ridgeway Side, Green’s House, Carhead Rocks, Scraperlow, Greenwood Farm and Leadmill - 7½ miles.
Saturday 30th May 2026
AMBLE – Sheffield Castle Square Yellow route tram (9.44) to Hillsborough (9.59), then, Hillsborough Interchange 62 bus (10.15) to Old Horns Inn, High Bradfield (10.47). Linear walk to Wisewood, for 52a bus, via Castle Hill, Holdworth and Loxley Common - 4½ miles, or walk on to Malin Bridge tram stop – 5 miles.
PLUS – Sheffield Interchange 257 bus (9.00) to Cutthroat Bridge (9.28). (Grid Ref. for layby SK 217 874). Round walk via Moscar, Stanage Edge, Hollin Bank, Bole Hill and Bamford Edge. – 10 ½ miles.
